Psalm 91 does not promise that God will remove every storm, illness, fear, or hardship from our lives. It promises something greater: in Jesus Christ, God Himself becomes our refuge. We don’t have to turn to Him only when trouble comes—we are invited to dwell in Him, abide in Him, and make Him our home every day. Our security is not found in a life without storms, but in knowing that Christ is with us in the middle of them.
