Our souls were created to thirst for God, and nothing in this world can fully satisfy that longing. When sadness, sin, doubt, or suffering makes God seem distant, Psalm 42 teaches us to be honest about our pain while preaching God’s promises back to our own souls. Ultimately, the Living Water we are searching for is Jesus Christ. In Him we receive grace, forgiveness, eternal life, and the assurance that even when we feel far from God, He has not left us.
